Understanding Flower Delivery Fees

Delivery fees frustrate people mostly because they appear late and unexplained. Here is what they cover, why they exist, and how to read a checkout page so nothing surprises you.

What a delivery fee pays for

A hand-delivered bouquet requires a courier, a route, and careful handling — roses cannot be posted like a parcel. The fee covers getting a fresh, hand-tied arrangement from the studio to the recipient’s door in good condition.

Why fees vary between services

Some services hide delivery inside the product price; others add service fees, handling fees and delivery fees as separate surprises at checkout. The number that matters is the final total — and whether you can see how it was built.

How WARDIA shows it

WARDIA separates everything: the bouquet subtotal, the delivery fee, and Maryland sales tax at 6% (calculated on the subtotal plus the delivery fee), then the total. You see all four lines in the cart and again at checkout before any payment is taken.

The free alternative

If a delivery fee does not suit the moment, pickup is always free. Pickup instructions are shared privately after your order is confirmed.
